The KITA Institute held a Safe Migration socialization event on October 21, 2021, at the Mangunkusumo Meeting Room, Regional Secretariat of Wonosobo Regency, which was attended by 50 participants from assisted communities, village heads, the media, RAOs, and Law Enforcement Officials.
After the presentations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the head of the Wonosobo Police's Criminal Investigation Agency, the event was followed by group discussions and further follow-up plans, facilitated by the KITA Institute.
After that, there was an FGD that discussed information systems, databases, prevention and handling of cases. The Office of Manpower and Transmigration presented their material on openness with databases, while the Citizenship and Civil Registration office presented theirs on population administration, while the Police force led discussions on matters concerning prevention and case handling.
At the end of the event, a recommendation was made in the form of a joint Follow-up Plan, which involved village heads, sub-district heads, local governments, NGOs, and media personnel.
