Mensen Met Een Missie (MM) Netherland held a workshop with its networks that are members of the Zero Human Trafficking Network (ZHTN), namely JPIC FSGM Lampung, Lembaga Kita, JPIC West Flores, JPIC Truk – F, GMIT Kupang, FPPA Atambua, Kabar Bumi, Talita Kum, Gusdurian, Rifka Annisa Woman Crisis Center, Migrant Care, VIVAT Indonesia, Interfidei and Youth Taskforce Anti-TPPO on 2-6 May 2023, at Hotel Prime Plaza Sanur, Bali.


The workshop which was attended by 21 participants discussed 2 harmful conviction out of 13 harmful conviction found in the MM research before. First, There are gender roles that are (assumed) determined by divine orders, such as 'women must be submissive to men', and 'men must be dominant over women dan ' and secondly, Close and distant relatives can always be trusted (including as recruiters of migrant workers).Apart from that, this meeting was also intended to discuss and develop the Theory of Change using 4 strategic lines, namely convictions, Connections, conditions, capabilities.

Through meetings that discuss and develop guidelines (compasses) throughout this organization, it is hoped that they can guide and become a common reference for all MM partners for the next 10 years in order to fight against harmful norms and human trafficking in Indonesia.
