The 1000 candle movement was arranged in the form of interfaith joint prayers (with videos) for healing from and avoiding the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as prayers for victims of human trafficking. This activity was held on April 16-24 2020 and was attended by students, the NU Muslim members, PMY sisters, and community members who care about human trafficking, as well as the KITA Institute.
Seeing this dire situation, the KITA Institute held this activity to support efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The 1000 candles movement, which was held in the form of interfaith joint prayers, was still carried out by implementing strict health protocols; the prayers were carried out simultaneously in different places. After that, the activity was followed by socialization on Human Trafficking, which was facilitated by the KITA Institute Team to further strengthen women's groups, especially kindergarten homeroom teachers, about the importance of the Anti-Human Trafficking movement. At the end of this activity, a joint prayer was held for victims of Human Trafficking. All participants brought roses as a symbol of their grief for victims of human trafficking.
